Latest Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) Values for KURARAY POVAL™

We are pleased to announce that the 2025 Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) values for KURARAY POVAL™ have been updated based on the latest methodology and data. The updated results include PCF values both with and without bio-ethylene integration via the mass balance approach.

* This PCF calculation is a case study for KURARAY POVAL™ grades using sustainably sourced raw materials via the mass balance approach. The results apply to our current vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) source, with a sustainable share of 31.4%. The CO₂ emission factor for the sustainably sourced raw material is based on database data. The calculated results do not guarantee actual emission reductions.
